Arbois, Jura
The Maire family is linked to the vineyards from Jura for generations. Of course, the most emblematic is Henri Maire, a real character who, in the late 1950s, embodied with virtuosity, the smallest wine regions of France.
Today, the Domaine Maire & Fils in Arbois expresses well the Jura mind. Faithful to this great legacy, the largest domain in the region is to be again spearheaded through an intense work in recent years, notably thanks to a neighbouring family, the Boisset family from Burgundy. Everything is toward a pure style and naturally imbued with the strength of this preserved land, where number of grape varieties indigenous and classic can speak earnestly according to a variety of grim expressions in still wine or wine effervescent.
